Pull back the curtain and see how a suspense writer puts the thrills and chills together.

Against my better judgment, I signed up for the A to Z Challenge again this year.

I also signed up for Camp NaNoWriMo.

Which means that I’m going to be writing 24/7 in April–blog posts everyday except Sunday, and 1,668 words on a novel each day, including Sunday.

During the A to Z Challenge, participants write blog posts for every letter of the alphabet, usually revolving around a central theme.

My theme for this year is Things That Go Bump in the Night.

I’ve got a great lineup planned for you–everything from scary true stories to the supernatural to some of the creepiest places in the world. I’ll even throw in a personal story or two, and–wearing my journalism hat–see if we can’t find “rational” explanations for some of this stuff.  I encourage you to speak your mind–share your own stories and opinions, or–if you’ve read a great book or watched a movie on the topic, feel free to recommend them.

I realize 26 posts is a lot to read in a single month, but I promise to keep them short and sweet. As for not giving you nightmares…well, I can’t promise that.

See you tomorrow, April 1st, which will be a combined post day–Insecure Writers’ Support Group and A is for Annabelle.

1 part newsletter, 1 part unnerving updates,
2 parts sneak peeks of new projects.

    Hey, sounds like fun.

I’d never be able to do both AtoZ and CampNaNo. I’m already all messed up with AtoZ alone.
Good luck for both… though I have a feeling you’re all set 🙂

      Hey JazzFeathers,

What’s your theme for the month? Please send me the link so I can support you. A to Z is TOUGH. There were several times last year that I wanted to give up, but I made a ton of new friends and discovered some great blogs.

And I can always use luck. Thanks for the kind words!

Whew! Good luck to you! Your theme sounds like something I’ll enjoy, although I might have to read the posts in big chunks, playing catch up. 🙂

Thanks, Madeline. As long as I know you’re here, I’ll be smiling, even if you check in every few days. Thanks for the support! Have an awesome day.

Oh wow. I can’t wait to read your posts but I can’t imagine doing two challenges at once!

I’m looking forward to yours as well, Stephanie! As for the challenges, yeah, I’m a bit crazy, but I need to write that much on the WIP everyday anyways.

I’m mostly doing it for motivation, and to keep me honest.
