Life has been very busy lately. I was extremely honoured to host a chat with bestselling thriller author Karin Slaughter at her double book launch in Winnipeg, Canada, last night.
Karin was down to earth, witty, and fun. It was awesome to meet her in person and ask her about her experiences writing dark crime fiction. Thank you to both Karin and McNally Robinson Booksellers for the opportunity.
I promise to catch up on blog visits and comments this week, but in the meantime, here’s a photo of me and Karin during our author chat.
Very cool!
Thanks, Alex. It was an opportunity of a lifetime, for sure.
What an honor.
Thanks, Mary. I was so touched and grateful to be given the opportunity.
Excellent! 🙂
Thanks, Madeline!
Congrats! What a great opportunity.
Thanks, my friend. I’m still in shock that they asked me.
I’m sure she felt as honoured as you! Lovely pic!
Ha ha–very kind of you to say, Susan.
How great that you could chat with her and host her in front of an audience.
It was such an awesome experience, Lee. She was fantastic, and so was our audience. I’d do it again in a proverbial heartbeat.
What an honor!
It all seems like a dream now.
Congrats to you and you deserve it. I’m glad you are having a great time even if it is busy
Thanks so much! This year is doing its best to make up for the last one.
Hmmm…I didn’t see my comment take so, if it didn’t…..congrats to you and glad you were able to partake in this event with someone you respect.
Both took, Birgit! Sometimes it takes a while for them to show up on the site, for some reason.
Musta been great to meet a fellow writer, you both are very talented if I may say so… or should I say dedicated… Yes.
Thanks so much, Shadow. Very kind of you to say. It’s great to see you back here.
Your blog link isn’t working–otherwise I would have returned your visit.
How exciting! It is so great when talented writers get together to share their thoughts and inspirations with each other and others.
She was so nice too, Lee. A very gracious, down-to-earth famous author. I feel honoured I was asked to be a part of her launch.
How awesome! You never cease to amaze me!
Aw, thank you. You’re too kind.
