Fans of Return to Dyatlov Pass, rejoice!
Thanks to the awesome folks at Severed Press, Nat will soon return with a vengeance. (I have a feeling Igor may make an appearance too.)
Though traumatized from her experience at Dyatlov Pass, our intrepid podcaster is lured out of retirement when she is contacted by a woman who desperately needs her help.
Living in an isolated home on the outskirts of the Oregon wilderness, the woman is being terrorized by creatures who stalk her land each night, peering in her windows with their dreadful, glowing eyes…
Intrigued? I hope so, because I need your help to:
Name that book!
To enter is simple. Post your title idea as a comment, either on this blog or on my Facebook page. And please share, share, and share again!
The winner gets a free e-book of their choice, an early review copy of the new book, unlimited bragging rights, and of course a grateful mention in the novel’s acknowledgements.
But the biggest prize is being able to name a book, which is pretty damn cool. So put those creative minds to work, and show me whatcha got.
Helpful hint: Severed Press loves titles that tell the reader exactly what the book is about, so the readers know what to expect.
Good luck, and thanks for playing!
I’ll have to think on that one. Night of the Apes comes to mind but I can do better.
Thanks, Alex. 🙂
Sasquatch Mountain
Sasquatch Pass
The Creatures of Sasquatch Gorge
Valley of the Sasquatch
Thanks, JG!
Sasquatch Revenge:
It’s not just Dayatlov . . .
Thanks, Kimberly!
Eyes on You
I’m so glad that Nat is back. I thought she was a goner.
Thanks, Mary. Ah, ye of little faith. 😉
Why don’t you call it “Dreadful Glowing Eyes” from your description? There’s also “Watchers in the Wilderness” but that’s a lot like Watchers in the Woods, which has been done.
Let me keep thinking. This is intriguing – I love cryptozoology stories! I need to grab a copy of Dyaltov Pass.
Thanks so much, James! That book did very well at LUW–I quickly sold out of copies. My Utah writing friends ROCK!
How about these?
Eyes in the Night
A Forest of Deadly Eyes
Stalked
Ooh…I like ’em! Thanks, Lee. Hope you’re doing well.
Fascinating! I’ll give this one a “thinking”. But, I can’t even come up with a good title for my own book. Maybe fiction is easier. 🙂
Ha ha…no, it’s not.
“Shadow Demons” or “Earthly Demons”
(And why doesn’t that woman just move??)
Too much money tied up in her home, and she’s also a strong, kick-ass chick who isn’t going to let some smelly bipeds scare her from her home.
YAY!!!!! I am so excited there will be another book with Nat!! I love your strong, female characters and shouldn’t be surprised at how good you are at creating them since you are a strong female yourself!
Okay, here are some of my ideas. “Sasquatch Eyes”, “The Oregon Trail: Sasquatch Revenge”, “Bigfoot Watching”, “The Stalking Sasquatch”, “Menace of the Sasquatch”, “Terror in the Wilderness: Believing in Bigfoot”, “Braving Bigfoot”, “Surviving Sasquatch”… and then a much more subtle approach “What Watches in the Night.” 🙂
I love things like this, they are just fun to participate in, regardless of outcome! Not to mention I can’t wait to read the book!
Aw, thanks so much, Nikki! Your enthusiasm and excitement keep me going.
Your new book That-Shalt-Be-Named sounds AWESOME! I can’t wait for it to come out!!!!
As for title ideas . . . everything in this line grabbed me, ” who stalk her land each night, peering in her windows with their dreadful, glowing eyes…” Maybe you can pull from there somehow?
They Who Stalk
Peering in Windows
Night Stalkers
Night Stalking
… I don’t know, but a huge congrats to you. Totally exciting!
Thanks so much, Ev–both for the kind words and for the title suggestions.
I would go with “Stalkers: The night creatures are waiting”
Thanks, Javier! And welcome back.
That’s a fun idea.
Eyes of the Beast
Forest Stalkers
When a Legend Calls
Thanks, Diane! I appreciate the suggestions.
Watchers of the Night
Thanks, Mark! Great suggestion.
Return to the Oregon Woods, Back in the Woods, Eyes in the Trees, Monsters in Our Trail (:-)), Monsters on Our Trail, On Bigfoot’s Trail, Footsteps in the Woods, Forest of Shadows
Great suggestions. Thanks, Liesbet!
Oh jeez, I can’t even figure out my own titles much less for someone else. LOL
Um…ask your readers to do it?
Moon Lighting
The first instalment of the night hunting series —-
Nat comes out of hiding from her troubled career as a pod casters only to enter into the world of self appointed detective in Oregon’s outback.
Wow, a blurb too! Thanks, Alisa.
I like ‘Watchers of the Night’. Descriptive of the story line. But maybe just make it ‘Night Watchers’.
There’s already been some really good titles suggested, but I’ll give it a shot.
“Sinister eyes are watching”
“Dreading the night”
“Under the evil watchful eyes”
“Nightly stalkers”
Very excited to read this novel when it comes out!
Thank you so much! Those are some great suggestions.
I hope didn’t repeat what everyone else suggested and still kept to your theme. How do you feel about, Ghost of an Imprint.
Glad to hear they’re back.
Anna from elements of emaginette
Thanks, Anna!
